When I went back in January to Menlo Park, a friend of a friend who is involved in dog rescue was able to take Ajax. Michelle is a really dedicated person to dog rehoming, she did a stellar job. She kept him for about 6 weeks and interviewed about a dozen people, I think.
I'm really happy to say that he was placed with with a married couple, they have been married 4 years. They just bought a house near downtown San Jose, 6 months ago. Her mother has a GSP who is 11 years old (female). They have no children, just a cat. All seems to be going ok so far. Devon is the lady's name who adopted Ajax, she paints murals for a living so she is only gone 2-3 days a weeks. Her husband works 10 minutes from home. They like to go hiking and seems to be outdoorsy type people. They did alot of research prior to taking him home (they came to look at him Wednesday night and called back Thursday and wanted to adopt him) they got the crate, some toys and also his beloved rope toy.
We miss him, but have adjusted to having just two: Athena the Whiner and Achilles the Flatulent.
