A few weeks ago we went for the BIG ultrasound, the one where they measure just about everything. Both seem to be healthy and within a normal range for development, weighing about 564 grams and 493 grams (about 450 grams to a standard pound). One does have a "big" head and the other is breech... AND we found out that I'm going to be seriously out numbered, we're having boys. Ralph is thrilled and the Ahlers name will live on. I've done my duty ;)
Now for names... something we didn't really talk about for a few weeks, but have started working on again. We're taking ideas if you have any... right now the list is (in no order):
Edward (Ed or Eddie)
Christian (Chris)
Christopher (Chris)
Ryan
Michael (Mike)
Mathias (but I'm not fond of "Matt")
William (Willie)
Theodore (Ted or Teddie)
Markus (Mark)
Jack
We're NOT going with Ted and Ed, because they are too cutesy together, nor are we going with Willie and Ted because it make Ralph think of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Not seen it? Don't bother!
I've gained about 10 kilos now (about 22 pounds) at week 24 with twins, I guess it's not that bad. But I can see how the female's body image can really be effected by pregnancy. I wonder if anyone has ever done a study correlating mother's weight gain to teens with eating disorders? Anyway, I figure I have about 12 weeks left (egads!). Healthy weight gain for twins is 15-20 kilos (35-45 pounds) so I have about a pound and a half a week gaining opportunity. That would be a total gain of 40 pounds, wow, can you imagine?!?!?! I can't...
Off to Paris next weekend to see Nikki and then the last Dr appt here in Cyprus on 25 May. After that is Memorial Day and I'm off to SFO on 04 June. It's flying by!
If you have name suggestions, please let us know!
Names that are out:
Mathieu, Edison, Truman, Aaron, Adam, David, George, Alfred, Carl, Ralph, Dwight, Andrew, Lloyd, Floyd, Matteo
