TWIN Registry

I've had several people ask about baby registry, I'm really overwhelmed by how many friends I have! and generous they are feeling these days. I finally got around to doing registries, at Babies R Us and Target.

And also if there are things you've used with babies recently and couldn't live without, I'd love to know about those items as well.

Thank you again!

California, dr update, where in the world is Ralph & registry

Ralph made fun of me when I made a playlist on the Nano that was all songs about California.... and here I am! Back in the good ole Golden State! The last week or so was really hectic, I wanted to see some friends before I left, knowing I'd be gone for a long time. It was great to have dinner and see them, but now I've realized that I've left behind some phone #s... I'll have to wait until Ralph gets back from the World Cup to get them, I guess.

The trip wasn't too bad, although I did get assistance from the airline in London and LA. Good thing in LA too, they have the --worst-- customs and immigration set up of any incoming airport in the US that I've been to!! Work this week has been great, seeing people, getting caught up and just hanging out has been stellar.

Went to the dr on Wednesday. If anyone in the area is looking for one, she's AWESOME! She seems to think that I will go to 15 August and require a c-section. Of course there are a number of very important tests the Cypriots didn't or don't do, so I had to go the lab yesterday. When I go back to see her next Thursday with the lab results and a full exam, she's expecting to schedule the c-section!!! Amazing to think that in 10 weeks I'll have 2 little ones. Very little ones.

Biggest issue now is getting Ralph here at the right time, anyone got any ideas? Right now we have tix on hold only for 26 July - 23 August, those won't work. They were based on the Cypriot dr expectations. With Dr. Reimnitz saying 15 August, I think we should be looking at 10 August - 10 September, but if we move them out we may not be able to move them back should something change. And since the Govt doesn't pay for him to come out (family values??) and he needs to get to SFO or SJC during peak tourist season, price and availability become an issue. We're open to ideas, let us know!

A few people have ask if we've registered yet, response is: not yet. I will try this weekend. I think I may have a handle on what we need. We're going with the absolute minimalist approach, since I have to lug everything back to Cyprus myself. I think I'll do Babies R Us and Target, giving people options. If you're a mom and there's something you loved during infancy, I'd love to hear about it.
