My lovie Achilles is gone...

Achilles, my dear love, is gone. He's been adopted by a wonderful family. I knew they were going to be a good home when we had so many connections: upstate NY, German speaking, and then Thunderbird! I have a warm-fuzzy about the life Achilles will have and very satisfied that he will provide them much love as well.
This is Maddie & Lucie, I know they will be great friends!

RYAN HAS A TOOTH!!!

Friday, 19 January 2007 I happen to stick my finger in Ryan's mouth and felt the littlest, sharpest tooth I've ever been bit by! They both have been drooling like Victoria Falls, going through 3 or 4 bibs a day. We've been very fortunate that the crankiness has been at a minimum (did I ever tell you that my tough little Erik slept through his last round of 6 shots!) and continue to sleep well.

I know a tooth when I'm bit by one; just can't figure out how to take a picture of it.. yet. I will let you know when I do. In the meantime, we'll wait for Erik's first tooth. It's amazing, growing so fast!

Goodbye my dearest Athena

While it breaks my heart, we're giving away Athena & Achilles. As you may remember, we found them in Cyprus in August of 2005. They were under 1 kilo each, now Athena is about 45 pounds and Achilles is about 50. Ajax was rehomed in Jan 2006 to a lovely couple in San Jose. She's an artist and works from home, he works for a start up. Athena went last Sunday to an older couple in Marin County. They have a 4 year old male GSP named Chipper, horses and cats. She's in doggie heaven! This is the last picture we have of her. It's so wonderful to know that if we didn't pick them up that day that they would have died of heat and dehydration, instead they will have lots of love given to them. And give so much back. Posted by Picasa
